Academic Profile Lieutenant Colonel R (Rasika) Randeniya USP psc ptsc SLAC Lieutenant Colonel R. (Rasika) Randeniya is a professional military officer and scholar whose academic achievements reflect a strong foundation in engineering, defence studies, military technology, and strategic leadership. His commitment to lifelong learning has enabled him to integrate technical expertise with operational and strategic military competencies. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which provides the technical foundation for his specialization in armoured fighting vehicles, military engineering systems, and equipment management. He further strengthened his strategic understanding by obtaining a Master of Defence and Strategic Studies (MDSS) from the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), Sri Lanka, where he developed expertise in defence policy, military strategy, national security, and contemporary strategic affairs. In 2025–2026, Lieutenant Colonel Randeniya successfully completed the prestigious Defence Services Technical Staff Course (DSTSC) at the Military Institute of Technology (MILIT), Pune, India. Upon completion of the course, he was awarded the Master of Military Technology (MMTech) degree by Savitribai Phule Pune University, India, specializing in military technology, systems engineering, defence equipment management, logistics, and technological innovation in modern warfare. His international academic and professional exposure includes a Diploma in Wheel Armoured Engineering in the People's Republic of China, where he graduated as the Best Foreign Student, demonstrating exceptional technical competence and academic excellence among international participants.
